Sleep is essential for your child's growth and development. Children with special needs may have more problems with sleep than other children.
Behaviours you may recognise in your child
- Takes a long time to go to sleep.
- Won't self-sooth.
- Wakes up regularly and doesn't resettle.

- Speak with a health visitor, staff at your local children's centre or childcare facility.

- Speak to your school nurse or special educational needs co-ordinator, or contact Children's Integrated Therapy Service for advice. Your child might be able to get help at school through their My Support Plan.
