Welcome to your improved website

We’ve launched the first phase of our improved council website - designed to help you find information more quickly and complete tasks online more easily.

What’s new and improved?

  • A refreshed, modern look that works on all devices
  • A navigation-led design that helps you get to the right information faster
  • An improved search that allows for questions, spelling mistakes and provides more accurate results

Thank you to residents who shared their feedback through our Accessibility and Editorial Panel. This has helped shape the improvements we’re making to create a better website experience for all.

What’s included in the first phase?

  • New homepage
  • All high-level service landing pages (eg Council tax, Parks and leisure)
  • 3 fully updated service sections:
    • Housing
    • Council and democracy
    • Rubbish and recycling
  • Key standalone information pages, including our Accessibility statement, Privacy policy, and Get in touch pages.

We’re still working on the rest of the website and expect everything to be moved over by March 2026.

Please note: While this work is underway, you may be redirected to the old website for certain council services, so you can still access everything you need.

Coming in 2026

As part of our improved website, we’re also working on:

  • a more personalised and user-friendly My Account
  • a simpler, more intuitive reporting system for things such as missed rubbish and recycling collections, fly-tipping, and street issues.

These updates will make it even easier to manage your requests and reports.

Ongoing improvements

As well as these improvements, we will continue to update and improve our website on a daily basis, taking into consideration all feedback received from residents and stakeholders.

What do you think of our improved website?

We’d love to hear your thoughts. If you spot something that’s not quite right, such as unclear or incorrect information, or a broken link, please let us know.
