We are looking for parent championss provide an important bridge between the council and parents in local areas and help improve the lives of families in Hillingdon.
Parent champion volunteers are parents who enjoy meeting with other parents / carers and sharing their own experiences.
They provide families with information about local services, including those for children with special educational needs or disabilities, and early years childcare.
To become a parent champion, you will be committing to:
- working voluntarily for a few hours a week
- attending parent champion support meetings
- maintaining confidentiality and protect family information.
You will also need a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (criminal record check) and you will be expected to complete and return monitoring forms and follow council guidelines.
