Local Plan Review
The council has committed to reviewing its existing Local Plan and is in the process of forwarding a new Local Plan for Hillingdon in line with the new plan-making system introduced in March 2026.
The Local Plan is the main planning document a local planning authority uses to set out their aspirations for development in their area. It provides a set of planning policies against which planning applications will be determined. The new Plan will be influenced by public engagement and a robust evidence base, to ensure it is both aspirational and deliverable.
The council will keep stakeholders updated on the latest updates regarding the new Local Plan. This will include:
- Updated evidence base documents,
- Publication of new technical documents,
- Statutory consultations and opportunities to inform the draft Plan,
- The Local Plan programme.
