This page explains how to report damage to or obstructions on roads and pavements, including hazards caused by vehicles, building materials, overgrown vegetation, or construction works.

Damaged and obstructed pavements and roads

You can report the following to us:

  • damaged or hazardous pavements
  • road or pavement obstruction - includes anything placed on a road or pavement without the council's permission, bushes or hedges preventing the normal use of the pavement or obscuring a street sign or light
  • damage to a road or pavement from building works or materials

Driving over pavements

If you see someone damaging or regularly driving over a pavement or verge, please complete a diary sheet, record details of what happened and report it.

You should include the following information:

  • the exact times and dates
  • the name and address of the person responsible, if you know it
  • the registration number, type of vehicle, and any phone number or company name shown on the vehicle
  • a photo, if possible.
