Planning enforcement policy
The planning enforcement policy is a framework which sets out the guiding principles which the council will follow when considering planning enforcement actions to ensure fairness, transparency, consistency and proportionality. The policy is also a guide to residents, and sets out how the council's planning enforcement team manage reports of unauthorised development or breaches of planning control, how any subsequent investigations will be carried out and the means by which the council can seek to resolve them.
