Set within Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve, Ruislip Lido is one of the borough’s most popular open spaces. With woodland trails and family activities, it’s a great place to enjoy the outdoors close to home.
Please note:
- Ruislip Lido is currently closed for fishing following the death of fish in the lake. This is suspected to have been caused by oxygen reduction, due to the high levels of plant and algal growth following prolonged hot weather.
- The children's splash pad is currently out of use and will remain closed while essential repairs are carried out. Due to current water restrictions, the council has also taken the decision to keep the splash pad closed to help reduce non-essential water use. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Features
- Woodlands Centre
- Ruislip Lido Railway
- Toilets (open between 10am and 6pm) off Willow Lawn Car Park
Woodlands Centre
The Woodlands Centre offers lots of interesting woodland activities, including nature walks in the woods, family walks and craft sessions.
For more information about the centre, opening times, activities and school parties, email dianawmail@btinternet.com or craftylucy@gmail.com.
No swimming
Swimming is not permitted at Ruislip Lido. This is because:
- the shock of cold water can make swimming and getting out of the water difficult
- the depth of the water changes and is unpredictable
- underwater objects and hazards may not be visible
- swimmer's itch can be caused by an allergic reaction to certain microscopic parasites living in the water.
