Apply for and renew a HMO licence

You will need: 

  • a credit or debit card to make your initial payment 
  • floor plans showing positions of bathrooms, toilets and the kitchen layout (including room measurements and location of smoke alarms and heat detector)
  • a current gas safety certificate (dated within 1 year)
  • a valid electrical installation condition report/certificate 
  • a fire detection (alarm) test report (dated within one year)
  • emergency lighting report (only for 3 storey properties)
  • valid fire risk assessments
  • valid PAT test report.
