Key dates and deadlines

On Thursday 7 May 2026, elections will take place in all of the London Borough of Hillingdon’s wards. 53 councillors will be elected to represent 21 wards. 

The count will take place on Friday 8 May 2026 and results will be displayed on the council’s website when they are declared.

  • Publication of Notice of Election: Monday 30 March
  • Nomination deadline: Thursday 9 April (4pm)
  • Publication of candidates: Friday 10 April
  • Registration deadline: Monday 20 April (11.59pm)
  • Postal vote deadline: Tuesday 21 April (5pm)
  • Proxy vote deadline: Tuesday 28 April (5pm)
  • Voter Authority Certificate: Tuesday 28 April (5pm)
  • Polling Day: Thursday 7 May (7am to 10pm)
  • Count and publication of results: Friday 8 May
