Bikeability is the government’s national cycle training programme.
The programme is designed to give children the skills and confidence to cycle on quiet roads independently.
Course information
Courses take place at Pield Heath House School, Pield Heath Road, Uxbridge, UB8 3NW.
Our cycle team of qualified instructors will deliver a combined Level 1 and 2 course to pupils who will be starting year 6 or above in September.
To take part in the course, riders must:
- be able to ride a bike at a basic level of competence unaided, including cycling in a straight line, cycling one handed (left and right), using brakes to slow-down and stop
- have their own bike or use of a suitable bike - and the bike must be roadworthy
- attend all sessions (unless they are unsuccessful in Level 1).
