Creating and enhancing local facilities

The UKSPF is a local authority funding programme where money is dedicated to helping the UK grow by investing in communities, places, businesses, people, and skills as a central part of the government's Levelling Up agenda.

The UKSPF is being invested into a number of projects and schemes, including enhancing local facilities, employment training and 2 business support programmes.

More than £700,000 has been invested in delivering:

  • high-quality refurbishments to children's play areas in Stockley Recreation Ground, Fassnidge Park and Ruislip Lido
  • a new play area in Cranford Park (as part of the wider restoration of the site)
  • a new rooftop astroturf football pitch at Platinum Jubilee Leisure Centre in West Drayton
  • new wildflower meadows and planting over 700 young trees
  • support to local volunteering groups.
