There is a Penalty Charge Notice scam, where text messages are received informing recipients that they have an outstanding PCN. We never use text messages to issue Penalty Charge Notices. If you’ve received a message asking for payment, this is a scam. Do not click on any links and please report this to Action Fraud or by calling 0300 123 2040.
