Leader of Hillingdon Council, Cllr Ian Edwards, said: "We would like to reassure residents that there are no plans to close the Beck Theatre in Hayes.
"Trafalgar Theatres has now informed us of their final decision to cease operations at the Beck, however the council is working hard to secure a new operating partner as soon as possible to minimise disruption and ensure a smooth transition.
"We are proud to have one of the best theatre offers in west London. We recognise the valuable contributions our theatres make to our communities and are committed to retaining a strong arts and culture offer."
