School music events and opportunities

Sing! Summer Competition 2026

Schools across the borough are invited to take part in the Sing! Summer Competition 2026.

The event encourages pupils to enjoy singing, work together and take part in a positive musical experience.

Both primary and secondary schools can enter, with opportunities for workshops and a live performance for selected winners.

Please note: Schools will need to provide information by Friday 5 June for a BOPA licence, which will be organised by Hillingdon Music Service.

Prizes

Prizes are available for the winning primary and secondary schools.

Primary schools

2 schools will receive a free Wicked-themed workshop for up to 30 pupils provided by Starling Arts This workshop will take place in the winners’ school at a date convenient to them.

The school will need to provide a piano/suitable keyboard for this workshop. If you will need assistance with this, please indicate this on the form. 

Secondary schools

1 school will be selected to receive 2 prizes.

Prize 1: Performance at Cadogan Hall, Chelsea 

The winning school will receive a live performance opportunity at Cadogan Hall during the Music Service Encore concert on Sunday 5 July and a free Wicked-themed workshop for up to 30 students.

Please note:

  • Transport to and from Cadogan Hall is not provided. The winning group will need to make its own way to and from the venue.
  • The winning school group must provide their own staff according to their safeguarding needs.
  • Parents and/or caregivers will be able to purchase tickets to attend the event closer to the date.
  • We can host a group of up to 54 people, including attending adults.
  • Winning schools must inform us of their chosen repertoire as soon as possible.

Prize 2: Wicked! Workshop

The schools will receive a free Wicked-themed workshop for up to 30 pupils provided by Starling Arts This workshop will take place in the winners’ school at a date convenient to them.
