The Mayor of Hillingdon
Cllr Reeta Chamdal has been elected Mayor of Hillingdon for 2026 to 2027. She will be accompanied by her Consort Roy Chamdal and her escorts will be her children Lavinia, Evangeline and Dante.
The Deputy Mayor is Cllr Colleen Sullivan.
Cllr Chamdal has dedicated much of her life to family, community and public service. Born and raised in the borough, she has spent most of her life in Hillingdon, building deep roots and a strong connection with the local area and its people.
Married to Roy Chamdal and a proud mother of 4 children and grandmother to 2 grandchildren, family remains at the heart of everything she does.
After a successful career as a bank manager, she retired and now helps in the family business while continuing her active involvement in community work.
In 2022, she was elected as a councillor for Hillingdon West. She also serves as a trustee of the Fassnidge Memorial Trust, reflecting her longstanding commitment to charitable and community-focused work.
Outside of public life, she enjoys reading and recently took up golf as a new hobby. 5 years ago, she also achieved a personal milestone by overcoming her fear of water and learning to swim - an experience that reflects her determination, resilience and willingness to embrace new challenges at every stage of life.
