Eligible care experienced young people under 25 are exempt from the Shared Accommodation Rate and may qualify for the 1-bedroom Local Housing Allowance rate, but the benefit may still be lower than the rent.
Council tax
If you're a care experienced young person living in the borough of Hilingdon and are under 21-years-old, after all applicable discounts and reductions have been applied to your council tax, we will clear the remaining balance.
Supported accommodation and some HMOs may include council tax or utilities within the charge. The landlord or provider must explain exactly what is included.
