We are now using a messaging service to contact our customers regarding payments where they have fallen behind with their instalments or to promote direct debit and online services.
Depending on the details we hold for you, we may contact you by one of the following methods.
SMS text
Messages will be addressed to you personally and shown as from Hilllingdon.
To read the full message, you will need to click the link included in the text to confirm your identity. You will be directed to debt.hillingdon.gov.uk.
Once your account has been verified, you will be able to view:
- details of your outstanding balance
- ways to make a payment
- how to set up a direct debit
- how to access online services.
An email will be addressed to you personally.
They will include information about:
- your outstanding balance

- how to access online services.
Automated voice message
Automated calls use a pre‑recorded message.
The message will first check that we are speaking to the correct person. Once verified, it will explain your payment options and tell you how to contact us.
Please note: While this service is offered to help prevent customers from falling into further arrears, it's not always available.
