Create a meaningful and lasting tribute to someone special with a memorial tree or shrub in the serene grounds of Breakspear Crematorium.
Memorial plates
A memorial plate is placed in front of the tree or shrubs during the lease period.
The memorial plate can include up to 125 characters of inscription (must include the person's last name) and can include a motif.
Each tree or shrub can have up to 4 plates.
Lease
Ornamental trees are dedicated for an initial period of 10 year and shrubs for 5 years, with the option to renew.
During the lease period, we accept full responsibility for the care and upkeep of the tree or shrub, including replacement should this be necessary.
Please note:
- The council accepts no responsibility for the upkeep of the plate.
- Unless it is renewed at the end of the lease period, the plate will be removed from its location 1 month after the expiry date.

How to order
As the trees and shrubs are in limited supply, it is advisable to check availability with the crematorium office before deciding on this form of memorial.
Complete the Breakspear memorial application form and email to it bcrematorium@hillingdon.gov.uk.
Please note:
- Full payment must accompany your application. We are able to accept most credit and debit cards. If paying by cheque, please make payable to 'London Borough of Hillingdon'.
- It takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks from placing your order to delivery.
- The council reserves the right to alter any application that is deemed unsuitable and to change the design of any memorial without giving prior notice.
