Employment Allowance
The UK Government increased the Employment Allowance from £4,000 to £5,000 from 6 April to help SMEs.
Employment Allowance is a tax relief which allows eligible businesses and charities to reduce their National Insurance contributions each year.
Class 1 savings can be made each time there is a payroll run until £5,000 has been reached or the tax year has ended (whichever is sooner).
The Government estimates that around 50,000 businesses will benefit from the increase.

Funding for hiring an apprentice
You can get help from the government to pay for apprenticeship training.
The amount you get depends on whether you pay the apprenticeship levy or not. You pay the levy if you're an employer with a pay bill over £3 million each year.
